Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Project Manager, the Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
Driving Agency van to perform Borough runs of goods, equipment, materials and mail
Lifting and moving various Agency equipment
Assisting with the moving and configuration of furniture and equipment relocations across 10 DOB facilities
Use power tools to do small repairs throughout Agency locations
Assist with the salvaging of all Agency equipment
Work closely with DOB Custodial staff
Supervise temp labor staff event set up and breakdown
Receives and inventories deliveries
Respond to all Facility Helpdesk requests (+6000 annually)
Assist with all reasonable accommodation requests
Off-Hour and emergency labor
Minimum Qual Requirements
1. There are no formal education or experience requirements for this position.
2. There are certain medical and physical requirements.
License Requirements
Possession of a Motor Vehicle Driver License valid in the State of New York.
Preferred Skills
Technical aptitude to make minor repairs, move equipment, and deploy materials and supplies
Ability to break down and re-assemble complex office furniture systems

Residency Requirement
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
