NYC DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION
The Bronx District Attorney’s Office is seeking a well-qualified staff whose diverse backgrounds reflect an ability to serve the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community and pursue a safer Bronx through fair justice. The Human Resources Department is looking for a Director of Employment Services, who will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (‘CHRO’).
Job Responsibilities
Under direct supervision of the CHRO, the Director of Employment Services will have direct oversight of the Employment Services Unit.
Responsible for the direct oversight of all benefit-related matters with the agency.
Oversight of all extended leaves and absences.
Development and implementation of wellness and cultural programming.
Manage and direct a team of Human Resources professionals to facilitate the aforementioned.
Qualifications
Minimum associate degree and over five (5) years of experience in the Human Resources Field is required.
Ability to exercise good judgment and strong ethics
Ability to analytically solve issues or problems from inception through conclusion
Exhibit an ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Minimum Qual Requirements
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to “1” or “2” above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in “1” above.
